Hallelujah! I finished the back of SC yesterday and have almost finished the first sleeve. The joining instructions are worrying me, but I should be able to work through them.

I WANT A NEW DIGITAL CAMERA RIGHT NOW!!
I don't usually throw tantrums, but the back of my Sitcom Chic is coming along in leaps and bounds, but I have nothing to show for it. Trust me when I say that I have knitted 11 inches and only have 3.5 to go.
Diet is coming nicely too. Although I have been too scared to weigh myself (head in the sand, moi?) my clothes are fitting much better than before, including a pair of pink trackie bottoms from Zara, which would not go on at all. My favourite low rise black trousers are fitting with ease again - now perhaps its time to try on those brocade trousers from LTS.
What with going to the gym 3 times a week, weekly dance class, work and knitting, I simply don't have time to put anything in my mouth.
Bump time is edging closer!

It was the first proper day of spring yesterday, with a decent temperature of 21 degrees. Everyone who had a convertible had the roof off, the tough Aussies were walking around barefoot (they've been in sandals and shorts since February) and the Birkenstock shop in Covent Garden was packed out. You just had to grab a pair of shoes that you liked and collar a passing assistant. But I did get a nice pair of simple black one-strap Birkies. The rest of them look too much like Stokie dyke sandals for my liking.
Not much knitting this weekend. I just did enough to get past the increase stage of the Sitcom Chic body. Now it's just stockinette stitch until we reach the 14.5 inch point.
Next big project is Rob's sweater. We have picked the colour - so now it's time to get the yarn. He is being rather fussy. He wants light navy, 'oily' thick wool. Doesn't ask for much, does he? ;-)

Clipping along nicely with my Sitcom Chic cardigan. I may also crochet some yellow flowers to be worn as an optional extra.
Those Addi Turbos do make a serious difference although if you get cocky it's easy to drop stitches.
I intend to knit in the garden tomorrow as it's supposed to hit 21 degrees! At long last!

More yarn this way comes!
Have started on my Sitcom Chic - have all the yarn, my Addi Turbos, and am off to a flying start. The needles really do help you knit faster - and as SC is mostly stockinette stitch, I'll need all the help I can get!

My Colinette stash turned up this morning as well. I spent 30 minutes stroking and cooing over it. The shades are gorgeous.
So my projects to come are:
Sitcom Chic
Colinette shrug
Rob's sweater

AND THAT'S IT FOR NOW (well, until the new Knitty comes in July)
